BACK FROM LA......

The LA Gift Show was a nice couple of days out of the studio and a chance to be social. { our cats were begging us to go on a mini trip } One of the highlights was taking my husband to the Getty where we had lunch on the patio in the midst of the most amazing views. The Jo Ann Callis photography exhibit was a favorite as we are already trying to find time to go back and see what we missed. { The Cardinal's are playing the Dodgers in August and that would get me out from behind the press in an instant } At the showroom, a fellow vendor, Heidi from Rock Scissors Paper brought up a quote from Tom Waits pertaining to wonder. I have thought about it a lot and couldn't agree more with his quote: "This is what's wrong with the world. Everything is explained now. We live in an age when you say casually to somebody 'What's the story on that?' and they can run to the computer and tell you within five seconds. That's fine, but sometimes I'd just as soon continue wondering. We have a deficit of wonder right now."
